For years I worked between my home and Niger, I was alone for weeks in the silence of my workshop, then thrown into the middle of the desert, around small hearths where metal was melted to make jewelry.
I alternated between moments of inspiration, of creations, in a café, by the beach or at home, and moments of exchange with artisans in the Sahara.
Ten years ago, I decided to open a boutique-workshop in Paris.
Axelle and I had decided that we were going to work together and so we needed a place to meet, and also because we wanted to welcome professional clients and everyone who wanted to come and see the collections.
I found this workshop to renovate on Rue de la Fontaine au Roi in 11th district of Paris, a booming, joyful, mixed, creative neighborhood.
The place was a large white box, flooded with light, perfect for us.
At the beginning, it wasn't easy for me to work in pairs and to constantly have to respond to the requests of customers who came in, I couldn't concentrate!
We then met our neighbors who took up a large space in our home, to our greatest happiness.
The store was repainted, the parquet floor was changed, the windows were moved at least 1000 times, new collections of clothes, scarves, collaborations were designed there, baskets by the hundreds landed here, people came look for rings to give, gifts to give yourself, wedding rings to get married or enter into a civil partnership, gifts for births, trips, film shoots, talismans to wear happiness…We met a crowd of unique people!
Each customer chooses the object that has the most meaning for them, the one that will please them, that will tell what they want to say...
In short, it has now been more than 10 years since our store exists and we are happy and proud to welcome you there…
