Faced with the captivating austerity of the desert, the great nomads of the central Sahara must comply with its rules and adapt their daily lives to this world that is both hostile and fragile, which brings everything back to basics.

But the aridity of their environment does not prevent them, on the contrary, from adorning themselves with fabrics and jewellery.

The Tuaregs, Peuhls and Hausas create an original and magical art, a living and meaningful art which expresses both the harshness of daily life and the richness of an immemorial past.
