Necklace composed of a tanfouk pendant, a pastille and a square bronze amulet gilded with fine gold, beige and pink glass beads and a kori on a twisted beige silk tie.
In the Sahara, patterns and jewelry often have magical powers. For the Tuaregs, the Woodabe Peulhs, each small object hanging on the body carries a meaning, a history, a force that protects them, gives them courage to face the desert.
I was inspired by these talismans to design the "Les Grigris" collection. This pendant takes the shape of a traditional Tuareg tanfouk. It is a small agate shape most often worn by women and which protects them from stomach aches. I hung a square talisman with an engraved hand and a round pastille with a star in it, a kori and glass beads. I hope that with all this it will bring you luck!
