"There are more than 650 species of oak, but the best known are white oak (Quercus alba), holm oak (Quercus silex), two-colored oak (Quercus bicolor), cork oak (Quercus suber) and bur oak (Quercus macrocarpa), the American red oak (Quercus rubra), the hairy oak (Quercus cerris), the sessile oak (Quercus petraea), the pedunculate oak (Quercus robur), and the tauzin oak (Quercus pyrenaica)".
I drew a leaf of my oak tree, the one at the bottom of the garden, I do not know to which species it belongs, but this leaf is made of ebony on a silver chain...
This pendant of 5.6 cm length was entirely hand carved in ebony wood by a Tuareg craftsman.
It was then mounted on a solid silver chain of 70cm total length.
Its weight is 7 grams. It is soft in the palm of your hand and you never get tired of playing with it!
